Left Music / Legal
Terms of Service
These terms set out the rules for using Left Music and explain the relationship between the app, your music providers, and you.
Effective September 27, 2026
01
Agreement
These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and 52 Hertz (Hangzhou) Cultural and Creative Co., Ltd. By creating an account, connecting a music service, or otherwise using Left Music, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
02
Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and meet the minimum age required in your country. If you use Left Music for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.
You are responsible for keeping your device and sign-in methods secure and for activity under your account. Account details must be accurate and must not impersonate another person. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
03
The service
Left Music helps you discover, organize, and play music through supported services, including Apple Music and Spotify. Features may include personalized recommendations, favorites, playback controls, account profiles, and nearby listening experiences.
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features. Availability can vary by device, operating system, country, music provider, subscription tier, and provider approval status.
04
Third-party services
Left Music is an independent product and is not Apple Music or Spotify. Your use of Apple, Google, Spotify, and other third-party services remains subject to their own terms, privacy policies, subscription requirements, regional restrictions, and account rules.
You must maintain any subscription or eligible account required by a provider. We do not control third-party catalogs, recommendations, playback availability, service interruptions, account decisions, or changes to third-party APIs.
05
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use Left Music in violation of law or another person’s rights.
- Attempt to bypass provider restrictions, access controls, subscription requirements, or territorial limits.
- Interfere with the service, probe for vulnerabilities, introduce malicious code, or access accounts or systems without authorization.
- Scrape, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service or music-provider data except where expressly permitted.
- Reverse engineer the service except to the limited extent that applicable law does not allow that restriction.
- Use nearby features to harass, identify, or track another person.
06
Content and intellectual property
Left Music’s software, interface, branding, and original content are owned by 52HZ or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose.
Music, artwork, artist names, metadata, and related materials are provided by music services and their licensors. These terms do not grant you ownership of or rights to copy, distribute, publicly perform, or otherwise exploit that content.
You retain ownership of profile images or other content you provide. You grant us the limited permission needed to host, process, display, and transmit that content to operate Left Music.
07
Recommendations
Recommendations are generated from available music-service data and your activity. They may be incomplete, unavailable, or unsuitable for your preferences. They are provided for discovery and entertainment, not as a guarantee that particular music will remain available or that every recommendation will be appropriate.
08
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Left Music handles personal information. By using the service, you acknowledge that processing described there.
09
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Left Music, disconnect providers, or delete your account at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, address abuse, or enforce these terms.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, and dispute provisions.
10
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Left Music is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free recommendations, continuous access to any provider or catalog, or compatibility with every device. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 52HZ and its directors, employees, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, revenue, opportunity, or goodwill arising from use of Left Music or a third-party service. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for Left Music during the twelve months before the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law.
12
Law, changes, and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local consumer law applies. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to a court with jurisdiction in Hangzhou, China, unless applicable law gives you another right.
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will publish the revised version here and update the effective date, with additional notice for material changes where required.
